Tooling affects the whole delivery
Where a part requires dedicated tooling or a mould, this is addressed at quotation stage. The main inputs are the product drawing, material and expected production volumes.
Tool manufacture, trial parts and approval are distinct stages before series deliveries. Their lead times and costs are agreed as part of the purchase.
Define responsibilities for the tool
Ownership, storage, maintenance and other responsibilities are agreed for the project. Tell us whether an existing tool is available.
